Présentation
Lina Ghotmeh Born in Beirut. She has graduated with Distinction from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. In
2001, she has received the Azar Award for outstanding academic achievement in design and in 2003 the Areen Award for
excellence in Architecture. Before setting up her partnership practice, she has worked on large scale projects with
ATELIERS JEAN NOUVEL/Paris and FOSTER AND PARTNERS/London. In 2006, she has founded in Paris
together with Italian Dan Dorell and Japanese Tsuyoshi Tane DGT - DORELL.GHOTMEH.TANE / ARCHITECTS
an international partnership practicing Urbanism, Architecture and Space Design. Best known for leading into construction
the Estonian National Museum, DGT currently employs around 14 Architects from the various sides of the world. It has
been internationally published and has been recognized as one the leading practices of the young new generation of
Architects.
In 2008, Lina Ghotmeh has been awarded the NAJAP 2007-08, the French ministry of Culture Architectural Prize. In the
same year, she has been been sollicited to teach at the ECOLE SPECIALE D’ARCHITECTURE in Paris where she is
currently teaching an Architecture Design Studio. She has also lead various design workshops as in Bath, England and has
lectured in various academic institutions including the Royal Academy of Arts, London and Columbia University, New
York. Recently in 2010, Lina Ghotmeh has been sollicited as one of the intervenants in “Women’s Voices in Architecture
and Design,” 2A Magazine.
